Wow… So many plans for the day! Can we do it! Yes we can!
SUNDAY 15 MAY 2011
Well I am back! Unfortunately I have been out of action for 8 weeks due to shoulder surgery.
My body is trying to tell me I am getting older, but I refuse to listen!
Straight into a ‘Working Bee’, that should sort it out!
Following on from our children’s planting and day one of our playground makeover , we are ready for action!
We made sure we had everything we needed before the day… and did we need a lot!
In goes the new sleeper wall!
Down goes the tan bark!
The girls ‘networking’ on the job!
We have a new ‘Dome’ shaped climbing frame going in this spot.
Yes we moved it all! This was about half way through the job!
Our beautiful blue glazed pots for our Bamboo.
Daryl, the father of a child in our 4 y.o. group, and our ‘Maintenance Officer’.
He has been a fantastic asset to our preschool and we have been very lucky to have him with us.
More Dads at work…
A sausage sizzle for the workers!
In go our tyre steps.
Bamboo planted.
Rope guide in! Wow! The kids are going to love this!
New dividing walls between pergola posts to start our new outdoor craft and block area.
Our new outdoor craft centre starts to take shape.
Patio blinds and heaters to come… plus some painting.
Defining our entrance garden bed… new plants to come.
No words needed… the pictures tell the story!
Some ‘Lilydale Topping’ in the tyres and ‘Mondo Grass’ either side, and this area will be finished.
Decking through the tunnel… blackboard paint to come on the tunnel walls.
The kids are really loving the changes taking place outside.
Some lovely wall art for our outdoor craft area from ‘Resource Rescue’!
I love that place!
Next ‘Working Bee’… August. I can’t wait!
Stay tuned for updates! So much more to come… including a dry creek bed!

I LOVE all of the changes you are making! Especially the tire stairs! WOW! (I'm linking you up if you aren't already to the outdoor inspiration page!!!!)
Do you know about the recipe to make your own chalkboard paint? We have been making chalkboards everywhere!!!
I was wondering how all your changes were going because we hadn't heard for a while – and now here they are. All kinds of wonderful 🙂 You and your community are doing an amazing job – I'm learning from experience it ain't easy making things happen and yet here you are – making things happen!
Thanks Amy! I am loving the process! Is the chalkboard paint recipe on your blog? Sounds interesting.
You are right Jenny, it is not easy to get things happening. Fortunately, we seem to have the right mix of motivated people this year who are keen to make a difference.
