THE MAGIC OF CHILDREN'S PLAY!'

On a beautiful Autumn afternoon, our children enjoyed playing underneath the canopy of our glorious Liquid Amber tree.
They initially started to collect little bundles of “leaf pom-poms” (the name they gave their pretty posies).
Then they recognized the benefit of a wheel-barrow for making a large collection of leaves.
Haylee took time out to negotiate a walk along our “Dinosaur bones” (vertebrae). Well, that’s what we call these tyres!
Soon her friends followed suit.
Back to the Autumn leaves.  The children began to spontaneously throw the leaves into the air with much joy and laughter.
Brianna then decided to make a pile of leaves at the bottom of a slide to create a comfy landing.  This was a big hit with her friends.
We love our Liquid Amber tree and look forward to the fall of the seed pods.  I can’t wait to create some “Casa Maria” style Sweetgum balls with the children!  I know they will love it!

Our new geo-dome arrived this week and Grandpa Brian and myself managed to piece it together after much confusion and many laughs!  Instructions were light on so we had to make use of the diagrams and a lot of guess work.
When finalized we placed it in our new ‘soft-fall’ area underneath the canopy of our beautiful Liquid Amber (Sweetgum) tree.
The children were very excited to find this new edition to their playground and haved named it…… “The Igloo”.

Recently we were donated two large double-sided blackboards from a school via one of our parents.  Then we got Grandpa Brian to help us out with building frames to hold them.  Voila!  Aren’t they awesome!

Last year Grandpa Brian created the stand featured below for our white storage tubs, and we love it!  “Resource Rescue Inc.” (Bayswater. Vic. Aust.)  have the most wonderful recycled storage solutions that I like to whisk away on each visit.  The blue tubs and white bins shown in this photo come from RR.Inc., and Grandpa Brian made up the new stand for the blue tubs. Just about everything the children might ever need for 3D construction can be found here!  But if not, we will source it for them!
We are so lucky to have Grandpa Brian… our own Mr Fixit!
